'We can't find products matching the selection.'


This error is shown on all category pages. No products are displayed.

Magento 2.4.0 - 'We can't find products matching the selection.'

Initial Thoughts:

Presumed upgrade or install of Elastic Search server.


Install Elastic Search.

Solution Applied

Open terminal and run the following commands (These commands may vary depending on your server environment).

  1. First we need to install PGP key
    wget -qO - | sudo apt-key add -
  2. sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
  3. echo "deb stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/elastic-7.x.list
  4. sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install elasticsearch
  5. sudo update-rc.d elasticsearch defaults 95 10
  6. sudo -i service elasticsearch start

To check if Elastic Search is running or not run in browser and if you see below response then Elastic Search is running
