What It Does

Shopify’s reports answer Shopify’s questions. As soon as you want the numbers in your own shape — a monthly VAT tab, product-level margins, a sheet your accountant or warehouse can read — you are exporting CSVs, or wiring up automations that quietly break the first time an order does not fit the mould.

This integration keeps one Google Sheet in step with your store. Orders from every sales channel arrive on their own — your online store, Shopify POS and anywhere else Shopify records a sale — with variants, discount codes, shipping, tax and refunds carried across.

  • Online store and POS orders in one place, labelled by channel
  • Variant, SKU and quantity for every line item
  • Discount codes, shipping, tax and totals exactly as Shopify calculated them
  • Financial and fulfilment status kept current
  • Refunds reflected, so the sheet never overstates revenue
  • Your own columns, formulas and extra tabs are left alone

Installed Privately, Read-Only

🔒

Your store’s own app

We create an app used only by your store and send you an install link. It is not listed in the Shopify App Store and is never shared with another store.

👁

Reads orders, nothing else

It asks to read your orders — not to edit products, change prices or touch your theme. You see exactly what it requests before you approve it.

Uninstall to switch off

Remove it from Settings → Apps and the connection ends immediately. The sheet, and everything in it, stays yours.

How It Works

1
Install the Private AppWe send an install link for an app made just for your store. The store owner approves read-only access to orders — a couple of clicks.
2
Your History Is ImportedWe backfill as far back as your store allows in one pass — see the FAQ below for how far that is.
3
It Keeps Itself CurrentNew orders arrive within minutes, and fulfilments and refunds update the rows already there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the cost to run this?

£6.99 per month after a free first month. That covers the integration, ongoing updates and support — no per-order fees, and no need to move to a bigger Shopify plan.

How far back can it import?

Shopify gives apps the last 60 days of orders by default. Full order history needs an extra permission from Shopify, which we request at setup. If it is approved, we import as far back as you want; if not, the sheet starts 60 days back and captures every order from then on.

Does it include POS sales?

Yes. In-person sales through Shopify POS are orders like any other, so they arrive in the same sheet with the sales channel recorded — handy for comparing shop takings with online.

Will it work on my Shopify plan?

Yes. It reads orders through Shopify’s standard Admin API, which every plan has, so it does not depend on which reports your plan includes.

What columns do I get?

The defaults cover what most stores need:

  • Order number and date
  • Sales channel — online store, POS and so on
  • Customer name, email and shipping country
  • Discount codes, shipping, tax, total and currency
  • Financial and fulfilment status, and order tags
  • Variant, SKU, quantity and price for each item, on a line-items tab

Tell us at setup if you want something different and we will shape the sheet around it.

What about other currencies and Shopify Markets?

Each order records the currency your customer actually paid in, alongside your store currency where the two differ, so international sales stay honest. Nothing is silently converted.

How are refunds handled?

A refunded order is reflected in the sheet rather than left showing as full revenue. Partial refunds show the amount actually refunded, so your totals match what you kept.

What access do you need?

Read access to your orders, approved by the store owner when installing your private app — and edit access to the single Google Sheet you nominate, nothing else in your Drive. No staff account, no password. Uninstalling the app ends the connection instantly.

Can I add my own columns and formulas?

Yes. We only ever write to the columns we own, so your own columns, extra tabs, charts and pivot tables keep working as new orders arrive.

What if I edit or delete a row by accident?

Nothing breaks. Orders are tracked by their Shopify order ID rather than by row position, so sorting, filtering or deleting rows never causes an order to be written twice. If you delete one you wanted, ask and we will re-add it.

How does cancellation work?

You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice. The sync carries on during the notice period and then stops. The sheet stays yours, with everything already in it.

Who are Receptive?
