This MCP server connects Claude directly to your Shopify store via the Shopify Admin API. Once connected, Claude can read and write to your store in real time — managing products, checking orders, adjusting inventory, editing the theme files behind your storefront and building new pages — all through natural conversation in Claude Desktop or Claude.ai.
The connection reaches your storefront itself, not just the catalogue. Claude can read and write the theme files your shop is built from — templates, sections, snippets and stylesheets — so a design change is a conversation rather than a ticket.

Subscribe to the Shopify MCP and you'll receive a server URL and credentials by email. In Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, go to Settings, then Connectors, choose "Add custom connector" and paste the URL. Authorise your Shopify store via OAuth and Claude has live access — the whole process takes under two minutes and needs no code.

Yes. The connection reaches your theme as well as your catalogue, so Claude can read and edit the templates, sections, snippets and stylesheets your storefront is built from, restyling the header, footer, product page or collection grid on request. Point it at an unpublished copy of your theme and you can preview the change before it goes live.
Yes. Claude can create the page, write the copy and build the theme sections that lay it out, and it can upload images to your store's own CDN instead of hot-linking them. Pages can be left unpublished so you can read them through before they go live.
Access uses OAuth 2.1, so you grant scoped permissions rather than sharing your Shopify admin password, and you can revoke access at any time from your Shopify admin. Every change Claude makes is a visible action in your conversation, so nothing happens silently.
