What It Does
This MCP server connects Claude directly to your WordPress site via the WordPress REST API. Once connected, Claude can read and write to your site in real time — publishing posts, updating WooCommerce products, managing media and editing page content — all through natural conversation in Claude Desktop or Claude.ai.

What's New
The connector is now a WordPress plugin you install yourself, with controls over what Claude may do and a log of everything it does.
- Plugin install, no FTP — upload the zip from your Claude CMS account and connect with a one-time code. The code is shown once and works for one site.
- Access controls — everything allowed by default; switch off publishing (drafts only), file edits, plugin changes, database writes or media uploads, and optionally restrict calling addresses. Reading is always allowed.
- Audit log — every call recorded on your site with action, target, result, timing and origin. Kept 24 hours by default, or 3 or 6 months, then cleared automatically.
- Backups on every file change — restore any theme or plugin file Claude touched from the plugin's own backups.
- WordPress core protected — core, wp-config.php and the plugin itself stay read-only whatever the settings.
- Improve tab — send suggestions to us straight from the plugin.

Claude: Claude writes, formats and publishes the post directly to WordPress — SEO meta included.
You: "Update all products in the 'Clearance' category to show a 20% discount badge."
Claude: Claude queries your WooCommerce products by category and applies the update across all matching items.
You: "Show me the last 10 comments awaiting moderation and approve the genuine ones."
Claude: Claude retrieves the pending comments, reviews them for spam, and approves the legitimate ones.
How to Connect

Subscribe & Install the PluginAfter subscribing, download the Claude CMS Connector plugin from your account's Getting Started page and upload it in WordPress (Plugins → Add New → Upload).

Paste Your Connection CodeGenerate a one-time connection code in your account, paste it into Settings → Claude CMS in WordPress and press Connect. The code is shown once and links one site.

Add Claude CMS in ClaudeAdd the Claude CMS integration in Claude.ai or Claude Desktop (OAuth, under two minutes). Your WordPress site appears under its nickname, with the access controls you chose.
