Shipping Integration
Connect your Square store to DPD. Orders book as DPD consignments automatically, and once dispatched Square is updated with tracking — no manual data entry, no CSV exports, no mistakes.
This integration connects your Square store directly to your DPD account. Orders placed through Square are booked with DPD using DPD's official API — consignment created, tracking number issued, ready for label printing without any manual work. Once a consignment is booked, the order is updated back in Square automatically.
£6.99 per month after a free first month. That covers the integration itself, ongoing updates and support — no per-order or per-label fees on top. DPD's own carriage charges are billed to your DPD account as normal.
You authorise the connection through Square's own sign-in (OAuth) — a couple of clicks, no passwords shared with us. If your Square account has more than one location, we'll confirm with you at setup which one your online orders come through, so till sales at a physical location are never booked as deliveries.
Your MyDPD username, password and account number — the same login you use to book parcels on DPD's site. We provide a secure form for this at setup; the details are encrypted and used only to book consignments on your behalf. Please note DPD's own API uses this account login rather than an API key, so a key from a third-party shipping platform won't work here.
Yes. When the consignment is booked with DPD, the integration marks the matching order as fulfilled in Square and writes the DPD tracking number onto it. Because DPD issues the tracking number at booking, this happens straight away — no waiting for a label to be printed.
Your Square Active orders list clears itself as orders are booked, so Square stays the single source of truth for what has and hasn't gone out.
You choose a default at setup — DPD Next Day, Two Day, by 12:00, by 10:30, Saturday, and DPD's international services are all supported. Every order books on that service. If you ever change your mind, it's a one-line change on our side — just tell us.
Square doesn't pass product weights through its orders, so we set a default weight per item for your store, multiplied by the quantity ordered. We agree that figure with you at setup based on what you sell, and it can be adjusted any time. DPD has a maximum weight per parcel; very heavy orders above it are flagged for you to book manually rather than sent and rejected.
The integration is designed around Square online orders that need to ship — it only books orders that have a delivery address. In-person till sales have no shipping address and are skipped automatically, so nothing is booked by accident.
No — multi-location Square accounts are supported. At setup we choose which location feeds orders to DPD, so an over-the-counter location doesn't accidentally generate consignments.
DPD occasionally adjust or update their systems. We monitor those changes, patch the integration when needed, and answer questions over email or a scheduled call — all included in the subscription.
You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice. The integration carries on running during the notice period and then stops — without an active subscription, it won't continue to sync.
Yes — we regularly connect Square to accounting tools, CRMs, stock systems and bespoke dashboards. Get in touch and tell us what you're trying to build.
